Hi Yana,

Yes, there are some benefits to drinking coffee (high anti-oxidant content, caffeine enhances performance), but for me, I actually have MORE energy when I'm off coffee. My energy is more even throughout the day and I don't have the highs and lows that accompany the addiction. I also periodically quit coffee to "reset the balance." I LOVE coffee and when I start having it too much (more than just a cup or two in the morning), I know it's time to quit. After being off it for a while, I get a bigger "kick" from it when I start drinking it again, which means I again, don't have to drink so much of it. I figure while I'm working on the other aspects of my fitness, I might as well drop that habit for a while, too.

Thanks for asking:)

Cheers,
Ginny

Insanity! Thanks for being a voice of reason, Ginny.

I would back up further and suggest that we need to re-evaluate the idea of a "dream wedding" and even the idea that a wedding day is the most important day in one's life. Call me greedy, but I want lots of important and dreamy days in my life, so I'll take lifelong health and fitness, please.

Here's a great recipe for getting enough fiber in your diet. I've been making these on a regular basis since I'm pregnant and don't want to deal with any more common pregnancy issues than I absolutely have to. They taste great - and they work!

Bliss Balls (adapted from The Cleanse Recipes by Deva Kaur Khalsa)
1 cup prunes
1 cup almonds
4 tsp cacao powder

Blend nuts in food processor until finely ground. Add cacao powder, then prunes, slowly. Roll into balls. Roll in cacao powder if desired. Refrigerate. Yummmm!
