Here's a great recipe for getting enough fiber in your diet. I've been making these on a regular basis since I'm pregnant and don't want to deal with any more common pregnancy issues than I absolutely have to. They taste great - and they work!

Bliss Balls (adapted from The Cleanse Recipes by Deva Kaur Khalsa)
1 cup prunes
1 cup almonds
4 tsp cacao powder

Blend nuts in food processor until finely ground. Add cacao powder, then prunes, slowly. Roll into balls. Roll in cacao powder if desired. Refrigerate. Yummmm!

Hi KT,

Eating out is definitely tricky on a detox. You'd be ordering things like spinach salad with no dressing...just some oil and vinegar on the side. With a possible dessert of fresh fruit. Herbal tea could be your drink and otherwise, it would be water. It can be done, but it might just be easier (and cheaper) to stay home for a couple of weeks. Then go out and enjoy once you're through the detox.

Cheers,
Ginny

Hi Melissa,

There are detoxes that focus more on veggies than fruit, so that could be an option. Otherwise, it would be just subbing in veggies for fruits on the list and then adding supplements to make sure s/he is getting all of the nutrients they need.

Cheers,
Gin

P.S. How are you doing on the detox?

Hi Ginny,
An off topic question.... what would a person, who is interested in doing a detox, do if they are allergic to fruit?
Thanks!
Melissa G.
